What's the difference between K-Compare and Skincarisma?
Skincarisma analyzes ingredients and adds reviews and skin-type recommendations, but it uses EWG and comedogenic ratings. K-Compare gives an evidence-based buy/skip verdict, compares real cross-shop prices, and deliberately avoids EWG and comedogenic ratings, both of which lack solid scientific grounding.
Why doesn't K-Compare use EWG or comedogenic ratings?
Because they aren't reliable. EWG scores don't reflect real risk at cosmetic concentrations, and "comedogenic ratings" come from old tests (often on a rabbit's ear) that don't predict whether a product will clog your pores. We prefer to say what's in it and what the evidence says.
Does K-Compare have user reviews like Skincarisma?
No. Instead of opinions, we rely on composition and the clinical evidence behind actives, and add objective price and landed-cost data. It's a different approach: less "what people think", more "what's in it and what it really costs".
